  • Great effects and overall presentation. Few things could still be improved: - When enemies fall, the dots seem to be set to local space; changing them to be in the world space could add a more realistic feeling to the particles so they could stay in their position rather than follow strickly the character. - When the sword comes in contact with the ground, it would be nice to add the decal to this surface, indicating burned surface using decals and erosion techniue. The timing might be important when implementing this, but I think your sense of timing is very good.
  • Really impressive work William! You mentioned you're 'going to pull out every skill and learn a whole host of new ones', your determination to go the extra mile definitely show in this. The timing of the Energy Dash effect, impacts, and animation is awesome. To push this further I'd of made the glows coming off the sword and players less blobby with more movement, you could've also added a scorch mark decal and impact sparks on the environment when the sword hit the ground / player. The presentation is awesome overall, and don't have any extra feedback. Your documentation is a great in depth technical breakdown of how you achieved your results. Nice work overall William, I can't wait to see more of your VFX work!
