- A very clean and well produced piece of stylised artwork. Love the wood beams and how they are created and textured. Works well. On the whole the project works and gels well together and shows your growing knowledge. You are aware of the issue you have had and where to improve, just keep it up, look forward to hearing more from you in the future!
- Hi and congratulations on finishing your project! The good: Nice work on the highpoly, which is then well translated into textures. Nice shapes and proportions, good take on stylization in overall. Areas of focus: You are well on track and are already further ahead of a lot of people in the studios out there, assuming that your goal is to pursue a career in stylized 3d/character art. Aside from some minor nitpicks (e.g. not 100% sure about what seems like fluctuations in texel and poly density between some of the areas) I can’t really point out any specific areas of focus beyond clocking more raw hours to prove yourself with more finished works in your portfolio. All of the ingredients are there, including a good feel for shapes and gesture, which is the most difficult/time-consuming skill to master in this line of work. Having a good degree of it is a relatively rare skill even among the working professionals, and is what sets a great artist apart from a merely competent one. Keep at it! - Grate research and development, showing a keen understanding in the character art process. Nicely presented :) . Over all a very creative and original piece! Some key feedback on the final asset : -good use of material definition overall -Be careful with the edges of the model - perhaps add a bevel or cut into mesh to enable more polys for stylistic chipped edge look. .lighting is moody and dramatic but could use an alternative colored rim light to help make the model pop over all and fit in with the stylistic vibe. -over all clean model so well done
