- Sadly, this entry is unfinished, but there are some good points here that could certainly be developed further. In particular, the patterning used around the character is distinctive and would really help them stand out in a fighting game with a cast of characters. In future I’d love to see more about how the design of the character was decided upon, and what sort of reference and inspiration was used.
- Well done a very quirky looking character! I like the visual style to this, and it shows your capable of the whole character process, but I would suggest perhaps practising some anatomy, some torso’s, arms, legs etc, isolated, which might bring your muscle memory forward more. Keep it up! Oh also, you don’t actually need to split the character up when creating it, you can keep each object in the same space, and label them to fit the high name_low name_high then bake it, in marmoset or substance. That way you get the nice ambient occlusion also as well as clean bakes that you would get by separating. Hope that helps!
- Lots of missing content - preprod and documentation. The model itself looks great but I think that it's let down by the textures and final renders. Some thought has clearly gone into the model, I would've just liked more evidence and explanation around the artist's choices.
- Liked where it was going shame you ran out of time.
