  • Although you produced a character form start to finish, I felt it was more kitbashed than created. However I feel this is due to simple lack of knoweldge rather than anything else, so I would suggest practising practising practising, make base meshes of your own, learn texturing to a higher degree, (and uvs) and keep at it. Don’t worry it’s a hard road learning character production, but you will get there, but you will only get there if you use your own stuff! For the stuff you made yourself, your doing well, but I suggest researching those processes with youtube videos etc, to really understand the easiest methods that produce the best results. Keep at it!
  • Good documentation and nice to see your thought process throughout the project. We felt in your design that you avoided the complex shapes and forms from the reference boards and you should incorporate more ergonomic forms into your models. Perhaps its worth sticking with the larger forms for a bit longer before moving forward into smaller details. Aside from the head, the body appears to lack some of the texture detail and it would benefit from some more visible wear and tear when viewing the character at a full body scale.
