- The game suffers from a few bugs that should be resolved, if you intend to use this as a portfolio piece. If you are moving and click to a new path, the game camera and character snap to route start position, which is very jarring. Its possible to get the orcs stuck and they play their walking animation into rocks. When I picked up the robot it didn't respond until I paused the game. However once these are fixed you'll have a nice portfolio piece :-)
- Great work on this game! I would have improved the game controls using WSAD keys. Keep up your #gamedev with Unity!
- While the game is mostly working properly, I encountered a few problems. The color differenciation between the Robot and the background was not enough and sometimes made it hard to find. After losing and restarting, the Orcs were not moving anymore. All in all, for a first game, it's a very nice try. I had fun trying to move away from the Orcs. Thanks a lot for your hard work.
- I just wanted to give some general feedback: 1. You mentioned never making a game before, so as a tip, for something like this aim to create a small polished vertical slice of what your core game is, with the room to build upon it and add new features. 2. The Main Menu is usually the first thing that people see, so it can be worth spending the time to polish it and rename buttons. 3. With such a tactical game like this, you should show the path that the player will follow so that you can see whether they're going to go near an enemy, as opposed to just hoping that the path finding won't kill you. 4. Try not to rely purely on randomness for your core gameplay experience. I had some playthroughs where the robot spawned close to the player, with no enemies nearby. It will take time, but you need to add some rules to how things spawn and not just rely on random (Am I atleast x distance from the player? Where is the closest enemy? Do they look at one of the paths to me?) This will also allow you to setup levers that you can then adjust for different difficulty levels. 5. A minor thing, but add a highlight to the starting/goal square. Its okay at the moment as its always the bottom left, but it would add an extra bit of polish.
