- The tutorial system needs some work. Once I worked out how to use items in the inventory, which seem to function differently that the broken tool (requiring the user to hold [ctrl] bug?), i actually began to make progress with the game. If you intend to use this as a demo, id suggest focusing on UI and UX improvements to the game as the core development/resource gathering loop is largely there.
- Good world/level generation approach. My most important feedback would be a simple one, be extra careful with the naming. Write everything i mean everything for fools (like me). The game was only "game.exe" which i believe would be a indicator for code/variable/asset naming problems. I may be wrong and you can be a organized developer if so good for you. Every fight and chaos starts with this simple step at start. Keep it up !
- Ambitious project that has largely achieved its goals. Significant feature set, with a decent UI. With time spent on polish and potentially finding enhancing the visuals what is already a good portfolio piece could be a great one.
- A very good entry - you packed a lot of features in. The map generation is technically interesting. The stardew valley / survival game was well implemented. The UI was servicable - the action wheel was a nice touch. Not the prettiest entry, but good enough to get the ideas across, and you went to the effort of finding animations and music, and the day night cycle was a nice detail. A very thorough entry. Looks like you made an effort on the technical archetecture too. Good work! Tim Page Well Played Games
- This was good, but have a think about what reasons people have to come back to this. You cite Farmville as a reference. One part in that is the time management and building your own farm, but Social is a massive part of it. Seeing what other people have done, getting resources from them, etc. Do you want to go for that Social element with yours, or do you want to go for scores and levels where if you reach a certain amount you unlock a new island type with different animals but more challenges (i.e. volcano, earthquakes, tsunamis, etc.). Just something to think about. But this was really good and something you should be happy with.
