Welcome

This game jam is hosted by the Student Game Developers Alliance (SGDA), a partnership between university game development organizations across the United States! SGDA has hosted a free to attend, student oriented games conference every spring since 2017. You can join the general SGDA server here and see more information on the SGDA site.

Register

Though SGDA serves college students, this jam is open to students at any level of schooling and alumni of SGDA affiliation. Before starting, you can join our SGDA Game Jam 2020 Discord server for chatting and announcements in #main-hall, including the jam's theme once we begin. You can also find teammates and claim text and voice channels for your team on this server.

Submissions

Remember to submit your build by August 1st, 6 PM Pacific Time / GMT -8! Edits to your submitted game will be possible during the voting period,  add a changelog to your jam page with a date and note about what changed! 

Voting

Voting is open to all. You will have have a full week to play and vote for your favorite games, from August 1st 6 PM to August 8th 11:59 PM, based on the criteria below. We do not have prizes planned!

Rules

The rules under the #readme channel on the jam server apply:

1. Change your nickname to <Name> | <Role> | <School> on the Discord server. 

2. The Jam starts at 6 PM July 25th and ends 6 PM August 1st (Pacific Time, GMT - 8)

3. You're free to use any engine and non copyrighted resources, but please follow proper attributions within your game (ie: crediting creators for plugins or assets)

4.  No discriminatory content in relation to gender, race, sexual orientation, age, ability, or origin. There will be ZERO tolerance for this.

5. Be respectful to your teammates and your fellow jammers. 

6. Have fun and learn from others!
