I replayed this game this week, and I really enjoyed it. This was the first time I got everything. Every Xeno spotted, every collectable collectabled.

The ending was very satisfying, and I felt it was in harmony with the vibe of the game.

Favorite moments:

* When the underground unlocked, which completely surprised me (Either I never got that far last time I played, or my memory is... um...)

* When I got to the end of the Journal storyline (The second-to-the-last entry had me scared it would be a tragic end for Dr Randi. Xenos can be dangerous!)

* My final Xeno sighting (Biggestfoot)

Relaxing, peaceful, and weird, exactly as advertised. Where Ramble Planet allows you to take your time, Xoo: Xeno Xafari forces you to. Didn't see the critter you're looking for on the map today? Gotta go home and reset. There is deliberately no way to speedrun this game.

There is plenty to get out of this game, and you have to potentially let go of some urgency you've learned from consuming other recent fast-paced media. Having a game force you to slow down can be frustrating at first, but it makes it worth your while.
