Who can enter? Anyone, of any age, from anywhere. You can work alone or in teams. There is no limit on team size.
When does the jam take place? The jam begins on September 8th at 6pm PT and ends September 10th at 6pm PT. You can submit your game until September 10th at 7pm PT as a grace period for late entries, last minute bugs, and Itch.io issues. After the jam, you can vote on entries until September 22nd at 6pm PT.
What is the theme? The theme will be announced when the jam officially begins!
What assets can I use? The game should be developed during the jam, but you may use pre-existing code and can use whatever art and audio assets you have the legal right to use. Please do not use AI to generate any assets or code.
When should I submit my game? You can submit your game at any point after the jam begins. If you submit early, you can update the game at any time before the jam closes.
Who will judge the games? Games will be judged by the public. Julie and Emily will then play the top games and pick their favorites. The top entries will be featured on Emily and Julie's socials.
How do I find a team? You can join Emily's Discord which will have a channel #find-a-team. You can also join Julie's Discord which will have a channel #find-a-team-for-game-jam.
What can I make? Please upload your build to Windows and Mac. We highly encourage you to upload your game to WebGL. You can make your game in any engine or programming language. Your game cannot contain nudity and hate visuals/speech. Your game MUST be free and "released," not "draft."
