🌸 Welcome to the Spirited Jam! 🌸

This is a kickoff game jam hosted by Spirited Blossom, an indie game development studio. The goal of this game jam is to test our team, build community, help people network, and most importantly have some fun! All are free to join, regardless of involvement with Spirited Blossom.

The event spans one week from June 24th at 3:00 pm EST to July 1st at 3:00 pm EST. The voting period ends on July 6th at 3:00 pm EST. The theme of the jam will be revealed once the event starts.

Who can enter?

Anyone from anywhere is free to enter! You are free to either work alone or in a team.

Rules

1) Please join the community Discord server so you can ask questions or request a late submission if needed!
2) What can you use to make your game? You are free to use any game engine you'd like!
3) What kind of game can you make? The game must be suitable for a general audience (no NSFW) but can be of any genre.
4) How big can your team be? There is no limitation to the team sizes, but smaller teams are recommended for communication and delegation purposes.
5) Is there an age limit for joining the game jam? No, anyone is free to join!
6) Can you submit a game you already are working on? While using assets or snippets of code you’ve previously worked on is okay, we ask that you do not submit game projects worked on before the game jam.
7) Is the use of generative AI allowed in your submissions? The use of generative AI is NOT allowed in this game jam.
8) Please credit the use of any assets that were not your own, and obtain the required licenses if applicable!
9) When submitting the game, please credit all team members in the description.

Late Submissions

There will be a 1 hour grace period following the end of the game jam where late submissions are allowed. In the event a late submission is needed, message Cat (@rezexnyx) in the community Discord server along with the link to your game published on Itch.io, so that you can be provided with a late submission link.
