this is such a warm and lovely game...i'm very excited for the next update!!
Super fun and a nice way to cool down after a long day or drama filled game session.
Absolutely lovely game!
At it's core it is a simplified Ironsworn/Starforged hack, with a soft lifesim approach, that uses "2d10 vs. 1d6+stat" at it's core, and it really works for a solo game.
The PDF is very well written and organized, with a good practical sense, which made checking the rules during actual play really easy!
The art is adorable, specially the "Fantastical Livestock" options, It really sells the "vibes" of the game! ALSO I WANT A BANAMALLARD PLUSH PLEASE I'VE NEVER ASKED YOU ANYTHING
As in for the content, I think it really achieves its objective in recreating the joy and cozy atmosphere from its inspirations (Stardew Valley, Animal Crossing, Harvest Moon, etc.) without losing itself in dense rulings that might muddle the experience while still giving enough mechanical support to present a good experience with meaningful player choices!
(as a addendum, I think the "Favor Economy" really helps maintaining a small scale, local farm/shop/life that often gets lost on the end-game scaling of it's inspirations, due the lack of a main "money" resource. I wished more games, both in tabletop and video-game, used similar strategies to avoid the detachment from the fantasy. I think this game really nailed this concept!)
The extra tools given, both the oracles and online functionalities make the game really smooth to run both in a regular pen-and-paper setting, using a VTT program, or another journaling tool. (I have to admit that I might had a bit too much fun creating townies for my setting and going a little overboard...)
I love the additional optional rulings added for a more simulationist experience, which is my preferred method. I think the optional granularity really allows the player to tailor certain aspects of the game to their taste in a straightforward/convenient way, without detracting from the expected experience.
All considered, a very good game! Will keep my eyes peeled for the museum update! (and perhaps a dungeon/caverns if I'm not being too greedy!)
