  • The game started off just telling you the control, I had to figure out what exactly I had to do. A couple of minutes figuring out the puzzle of controls and understanding the game mechanic, I realize I'm just a simple farmer that grows pineapple from trees, which I didn't know that pineapple do grow from tree... I had the options to buy either $100 dollar tree which grows the same fruit, or the $200 dollar tree which looks a bit exotic and blizzard, having to see a purple pineapple grow from a unusually shaped tree. Anyway, I had fun planting the $100 and $200 tree in the same vacancy. Which I didn't know if that's intentional or not. There were issues where I could pick up multiple of items at the same time, which cause some weird overlapping artifacts through the game play, but I think it's because one of the item I was holding expired, and the game thinks I was still holding but I don't? Not sure what happen there. My only issue is that I lack the desire to win the game. I felt like the goal wasn't properly introduced to the player or how the goal was settle. If you can add some kind of indicator that you need to maintain your plant or be able to reach certain amount in a certain time then you have a better game that attracts people playing it. The music and the art style of the game seems a bit retro style, As if the game was meant to be arcade style. The control was pretty simple, using AD to move the character and then pressing p to pick up and l to drop. The programming aspects seems to be solid and straightforward. I couldn't find a way to break out and cheat any sort of kind. I did have some issue downloading the game and playing it from my local computer, but I was able to play it from the browser instead. Great job!
  • Cute game, I like the bird and planting mechanic. The things that bugged me were the music being very loud and repetitive and the waiting times was too long. Could have benefited from some balancing, like making pineapple seeds cheaper, or have the pineapples spawn faster, or giving the player something to do while waiting, like watering.
  • Neat idea! The biggest struggle here is communicating to the user what the controls are, what the objective is and how to reach the objective, and if you add tips to that it would be a better experience. I would suggest finding something else for the player to do than wait for the plant to grow. if they had a way to water the plants so theyd grow faster, it would be more engaging. The aesthetics are simplistic since it's part of the 8bit style.
