Also known as "Tavern Jam", "Tavern Game Jam"

These are seasonal game jams focused on a casual and beginner friendly environment that our community, “The Artists Tavern” take part in.

Our main goal here is to give you a space to try out game jams, or experiment with new ideas!

You will have full support from our community, helping you learn the basics if you have never done a game jam, or if you want a space to create something fun without the stress of full-on competition.

Duration:  Monday 11th March to Monday 18th  March7pm (UTC+1). We are generous with deadlines so no pressure if you are from other timezones!

Tools to make game:

Anything as long as it can run on Windows, Browsers and does not require additional software or hardware to play!

Assets:

Participants are encouraged to make their own assets the day of the jam.

But, if you are going solo or lack the experience, you may use existing code and whatever legal uses of sound and art assets you can get hold of or make [For A.I. use see next rule].

Make sure to credit anything that isn’t yours!

A.I. Tools for art and code:

Strictly NOT ALLOWED, even to brainstorm, we have plenty of help on the server and else where, for the spirit of the jam no use of AI in any way.

What type of art / game can I make?

As long as you follow our community rules (found in our discord)

NSFW art or anything political, we advise not to make a game about, unless Host consent is given!

Please use the Itch.io site to submit an itch.io page, and make sure you check these off when submitting!

MUST HAVE:

• Discord names, of you and your teams (if you have one)
• List of resources used that weren’t yours
• Screenshots of your game (to use for socials)
• Short Video gameplay (To help judging)
• Game Files, and Instructions on how to play

Only people who submit a game can rate the other games. You must rate three random games before you can rate other games. The criteria for ratings this jam are:

🏆Judging Criteria:

• Design of the game: How easy is it understand the gameplay?
• Gameplay: How enjoyable is it to play?
• Creativity: How well does it use the theme?

How Voting Works:

Once the submission ends, you will have 2 days to vote on as many games as you can! The Top 5 best rated games will be sent to the Judges to decide on the overall winner, and the winners for each category!
