  • Your idea was great and I was happy to see many secrets in the game that could cause Erika to expand more. I've replayed it a few times though at times the mini games can be very buggy and the writing is very difficult to understand as an English speaker. A lot of the mini games also were difficult to understand given the instructions. but after doing them a few times it started to make sense. Fantastic first project and would love to see you complete this one or complete another -Mark(Team Quimbly)
  • This is a great concept! You got the theme absolutely right, only held back by a lack of sound! Both the story and characters were very believable as 50's, excelent work on that! The game's art for the characters and rooms was the best thing about it, by far. The story was great, unfortunately some of the text didn't translate into english, which was a shame as I really was enjoying it. Other than that, no complaints, I didn't take away any points for needing to use translation software. The game is a little bit buggy, but the chapter selection screen made it possible for me to do a near complete run, which I appreciated. The minigames are quite good, however, their instructions are fairly poor. The key to designing minigame instructions is to use as few words as possible so as to leave no ambiguity. My personal suggestions are: For the bread game: White: Great, Black: Good, Grey: Bad. - For the beams game: Stay in the white area, avoid the beams. - Extremely short, simple explanations. The fullness meter was an interesting idea but I don't think it was very well implemented, failing the minigames to keep my satiation down just seemed to make me lose anyway, so I wasn't sure what to do. Eventually I went back and just ate less beforehand. Overall, I think this project could be something really, really great, it just needs more time and love!
  • Great, great story! It works super well for the time period and was also very interesting. I love that the reason Erika had to inflate was because someone in the town was caught before. There were some glitches I ran into, like the stair arrow not appearing. I wish it was more obvious what scene I was on, so when I went to load the game, I didn’t have to restart multiple times. The characters are interesting, but it’s hard to understand them, especially since the dialogue switches to French sometimes. The game feels rather incomplete, the ending is rushed and somewhat scary, to be honest. I’m a bit worried about Mrs. Erika, and we don’t learn if the pregnant lady has her baby safely. I would also love to see more interactions between Mrs. Erika and her husband. It’s a good game, but it could use a bit more time in the oven to create a more complete ending. Thank you for joining this Belly Jam!
