Riiiing-Riiiing! You're invited to join UF Game Development Association in a game of telephone. Instead of passing along phrases, we will message you a Jam theme made by someone else! Everyone is welcome to participate and to interpret the theme how they please!

How To Sign Up

1. Join our DISCORD  and read the welcome-rules channel.

2. Click the pinned-jam-info channel and register your team before Feb. 22nd.
1. If you need help finding a team, check out group-hunt under the side programs tab.
3. Submit your own prompts and jam themes for people to be inspired by!
4. Join Voice 1 on February 25th at 6:30 to kick off the event!

JAM THEME

Your Game Jam is a unique experience! No one else has your prompt. So you can interpret it in the best (or worst) way possible. 

It works like this:

1.  Pick 2-3 of the following ad-libs to fill out however you like, or provide your own equally detailed game idea!
   1. "You play as a __ and you are trying to __" 
   2. "You can __ but you can't __"
   3. "You were once __ but now you want to be __"
   4. "In a world of __, __ must __" 
   5. "Try to make __ out of __" 
   6. "Once there were __, but now they are __" 
   7. "Your __ has turned into a __!"
   8. "In order to __, you must get rid of __"
   9. "You have to mix __ and __ to solve __" 
   10. "__ asked you to find __" 
   11. "__ vs. __"
   12. "__ seeks revenge for __"

RATING

You make the games so You judge them! In order to vote for the best game, you must submit to THIS itch.io page. So, hit that Join Jam button!

Rankings for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd will go to games that place in these categories:

We are opening the floor for interpretation, so don't worry too much about making your idea complete, logical, etc.

Baseline rules:

• Limit teams to FIVE members
• Be respectful to other jammers
• Refrain from sexual/suggestive themes
• No excessive gore
• No discrimination against specific demographics
• Create the majority of the game in 48 hours (prior made assets and scripts allowed if designed for other projects)
• Avoid using content you paid for
