The best concept for a game that was ever made was Spore. We all know it! An evolution simulator, that takes you from the cell stage to the space age? One where all the creatures and buildings you see were designed or evolved in the same way that you're playing the game? That's awesome! The scope, the scale, the variety of what's possible - truly breathtaking.

Yet Spore itself is but one point in the space of possible Spores, and despite its brilliance there are aspects it did not explore, things not perfectly suited to every Spore gamer.

As such, I humbly submit that there should be more sporelikes. A whole genre of Sporelikes! That's where this game jam comes in! It took years to make Spore, but I bet you can do it in 48 hours.

Some possibilities:

• Full Stack Spore - Cell stage to space age, the dream of Will Wright, and as previously mentioned the coolest possible concept for a game.
• Stages - Do you have a favourite stage? Maybe you could add some importing and exporting at either end and later someone can write some converters and wire all our games together!
• Editors - Before Spore, I spent many a fond hour in the Spore Creature Creator. It's a big part of the pitch 😃.
