A really cozy game with a very refreshing feel to it. Beeptune goes out of its way to inject some "easy novelty" into the reading experience, e.g., panning over parts of a background to add motion and a metaphorical spotlight on certain aspects of the scene.
I love the character design as well. Characters with hair-obscuring facial features that rumble when talking is a fun design aspect I like in characters (c.f. the Kitaki boss from Apollo Justice), and I like a snakier snake than many VNs have in it.
The story is a good mix of slice of life with some suspenseful moments sprinkled in. I'll definitely come back to this to see where the narrative arc goes should it update again.
has a bit of jank, but still quite a fun game. one example of jank is that if you play your cards right, you can make it so the slipperyness of the beams is a non issue, cuz you can have it so the lights are off of the beam and are not causing you to slip on the beams, while at the checkpoints you'd have the physics. another issue is that on the web version the meter showing you if your balance is good or not is completely off center, and is not on the green and red. in fact it's completely to the left of it.
