Description
I am more of a freeform composer that does like cutscenes than chiptunes with rigid precision in a DAW. I perform my tracks manually on a Roland FA-08 which has an inbuilt sequencer, then export the Midi and WAV to my laptop for further refinement with Mixcraft 10.5 Pro Studio.
Magical Space Suit is a Combat Space Simulator with Trading like Foundations :X4 or Wing Commander : Privateer. The girl inherited the space suit (which is too large for her) from her guardian after her parents died, but then he too got lost in a mishap so she has been by herself exploring deep space for a while. The suit is more advanced than her whole ship, she picked up enough knowledge to know in theory how to make another but the materials are very rare. The four pieces of music are an intro, a piece about just doing repairs in a peaceful time, a piece about getting attacked by corrosive leeches that damage the ship's hull, and lastly going to a trading post to repair after the damage.
The genre of my soundtracks tend to be symphonic or classical with a touch of jazz and some other forms of electronica mixed in.
How does it fit the theme?
I used the picture prompt of the girl sitting on the knee of the big space suit.
The suit is something she inherited from the larger-species humanoid who was taking care of her after her parents died but then he too got lost in a mishap so she's been by herself.

I liked the last track, I would try keeping the chaotic section in the third song a little shorter, but otherwise this is a fun take on the theme!
I really liked this and it fits well!
