Thankmas is back, and it's time for game devs and gamers to unite for a good cause. 

This jam works in tandem with and to bring involvement to Thankmas, a charity event hosted by Jackcepticeye for New Story.

For every $10k, a new house will be built to get a family out of the streets. But to raise as much as we can, we must get as many fundraising streamers to engage with their audiences and games to animate those streamers. The jam's subgoal is $100k out of the main event's $10 mil. 

Streamers and non streamers, in teams or solo will create games within the time limit according to a given theme. The jam lasts 6 days and is followed by a 7 days rating period. Both periods overlap on the 11th, the big turn up event for streamers.

Theme - Foes Become Friends

A game where the obstacles are helpful when you run the level backwards?
A RTS where the enemies you kill come back as your pawns?

You decide, but what's most important is the friends we make along the way.

Rating

The next 7 days after the end of the Jam, the everyone will be able to vote for the entries according to:

Use of Theme - How the theme was articulated.

Originality - How the game stands out from the other entries.

Impact - How the game manages to spark a reaction from whom plays it.

Polish - How much effort is put on visuals, audio and juice.

Fun - How enjoyable the core experience is.

If you are not a game dev this is your time to shine.

• You can use pre-made assets or code that would be reusable in other projects.
