What is this?

The Game Development World Championship, or GDWC for short, is the largest game developer focused competition in the world. It's been running each year in its current form since 2016, with 2020 being our biggest year thus far with over 1800 participating development teams from over 100 countries. Who can participate?

The competition is open to all kinds of games on all digital platforms (PC, Consoles, Mobile ,VR/AR) and to all kinds of developers and development teams (big or small, solo or studio, indie, professional, hobbyist, student, beginner, veteran etc. etc. etc.).

You can take part with any game that has not been released before 2021. In-development games are also accepted.

Does it cost something?

Participation is completely free!

Are there rewards?

We give out rewards such as Trip to Finland with visits to Top Game Studios, and GDWC Care Packages filled with goodies. We're also constantly adding more rewards from our awesome sponsors.

Can I participate with my jam game?

YES! We have multiple categories to compete in, including the "Best Game Jam Game" category!
You can join in with any game jam game you've made this year for any other game jam out there!

Can I submit multiple games?

Yes! You can submit as many games as you have.

How do I participate?
