Ready to get spooky with some monsters? It's time for the first ever Monster Mash Jam!  Compete to make the best, most scary, vile, and most importantly, fun game for this spooky season!

The theme of the jam is MONSTERS, Make a game cleverly involving monsters, good mosters? bad monsters? it doesn't matter, get creative!

A special object to be creatively incorperated into the game will be announced at the launch of the gamejam, the game does not need to center around the object, but there is a ranking criteria based on its use!

There will be not one but THREE special items to choose from, you are only required to, and be judged on ONE, all three are not required.  those items are:

• FISH
• HAMMER
• TOOTH

Quite the mismash of items there, so lets see what we can do!

WHO:  The Monster Mash is open to everyone of every skill level, rookies, experts, any level inbetween, come give it a shot, show everyone what you're proud of!

WHAT: A Game or Graphic Narritive, that matches the theme of the jam, that is, A game that follows the theme of the jam, including the special item announced at the start of the jam!

WHEN: The first 3 weeks of October, with the winners being announced on Halloween!

WHERE: Wherever you are!

WHY: Why not?

HOW: Using any game engine you want, for any platform, in teams of up to 5 people, there are no other restrictions!

WHAT NOT: RULES: The rules are simple:

1.     No NSFW Content.
2.     The game must be made entirely during the submission period.
3.     Teams of no more than five people please. :)
4.     Enjoy yourself!

Q: Who is allowed to join the jam, is there any age restrictions? 

A: Anyone is allowed to participate in the jam

Q: Can I work in a team? or do I have to work solo

A: Teams of up to 5 are allowed.

Q: I can't code, but I'm good at ____________, where can I find teams to join?

A: If you need a team you can post in the "community" tab, as well as join the Lomaz Games Discord

Q: Can I win one of the top 3 prizes, as well as the "Best Theme Implementation" Prize?

A: Yes.

Each submission will be voted on in five criteria:

•     Spook Factor- How well the game follow the jam's theme, and how creative you are with it.
•     Object Implementation - How well the game incorporates the mystery object.
•     Gameplay/Fun Factor - How fun the game is to play.
•     Graphics/VFX - How the game looks.
•     Music/SFX - How the game sounds.

Prizes: All Prizes are in USD, and transferable by many means, (Paypal, Amazon Gift Cards, ect) whatever works for the winners, we can make work for us.

First Overall: $100

Second Overall: $50

Third Overall: $25

Best Theme Implementation*: $25

*The game that scores the highest in the Theme Implementation Criteria will win an extra $25, regardless of if it placed in the top three overall.

Dontation: If you chose, you can have your prize donated to a charity of your choice, if this is the case, Lomaz Games will match the donation prize value as well.
