Rules and restrictions - Submissions

1.  All entries must be windows and/or android compatible (sorry, irl friend who's entering who uses a mac). This is so I, ReadyPlayer42, the creator of the jam, can play it.

2. All entries must be created by the submitters.

3. All entries must be SFW, and have all the necessary trigger warnings. (i.e., Gore, death, general horror, homophobia, etc.) this is for the safety of anyone viewing, including me, as I am a minor.

4. You retain all rights to your game, and may use it however you want after the jam has ended.

5. Updates and bug patches are forbidden during the voting period.

6. Don't be a jerk. It's not cool.

7. Violation of/finding loopholes in the rules will result in your game being removed. depending on the level of offence, you may be restricted from participating in any further jams, or your profile will be reported.

1. This one should be a bit obvious, but hate speech will  NOT be tolerated.

2. Be civil. This too is a given.

3. Please keep your discussions on topic.

4. It is forbidden from discussing sensitive topics without a trigger warning. Again, this is for the safety of everyone.

5. Do not give criticism unless it is explicitly asked for.

6. Submitters have every right to moderate their comments however they wish, unless it violates Itch.io TOS.

7. Again, violating these rules, finding loopholes in the rules, or finding something I may have forgotten to add and exploiting it will result in punishment, listed above.

FAQ

What time does the game jam start/end? Start, end, and voting closure all happen at Midnight PST, on the dates listed above.

Can I use assets/engines made by other people? As long as you give full credit.

Is the jam specifically for experienced game makers, or can anyone join? Anyone can join, but keep in mind that the voting is public, and you may experience the bias of others.

Can I work in teams? You make work solo, or as a group. All group members mush have an Itch.io account, and all members must have credit.

Are there any specific engines I must use? No, as long as it doesn't break submission rules.

Am I restricted to making my game Windows/Android compatible? No. You may make it playable on whatever Operating systems you would like, as long as one of the previously mentioned two are compatible.

Are there any restrictions as to what I can make? Please re-read the rules.
