This jam is now over. It ran from 2022-04-04 14:00:00 to 2022-04-19 02:00:00. View results
This jam should be held in accordance with the Superchocolatemilkshake Channel anniversary which happens in March. I know the event is held after march this year, but this time I wanted to play all your wonderful games this time while the event is happening, instead of focusing more on trying to get videos out for the anniversary. I apologize for getting to the games late last year. I'll do better in trying to be more active with my participants through Discord and Itch trying to be the best host I can be. This is the second time I am hosting a ranked jam since the "Scare Me Shakless Jam" is an incredibly lenient jam where you can even submit pre-jam games as well as games made during it. I hope you all enjoy the Jam, have fun making games and continue on deving!! ~John Widdoss (Host)

What's This Jam About:
This year, I'll give you two ideas and see how you can make them work. I thought about this hard considering I felt pretty vague on the theme last year. I feel like this is something to really get something sturring inside people's heads so they can come up with new and exciting ideas that can push the boundaries of story, art, and (most importantly) gameplay. I should also point out that all games submitted to this jam will be featured on the Superchocolatemilkshake channel!! The link to that will be located down below!

Rules:
1. No NSFW: This content will be put up on YouTube for the whole world to see, so please keep your pants on...
2. Playable Windows Builds: Since I still run a Windows PC, the final game needs to run on a PC. However, I don't mind having devs upload games designed for other platforms as well, or even having online builds. But keep in mind, I still have a PC that sports a Gforce GT 720, an i7 4790 (non K ver.), with 8 gigs of ram. I know for some engines this is a serious handicap (Unreal comes to mind) but if the game is playable for a PC specified above, it should be playable on anything. That, and graphics cards and new computers are expensive.
3. Be respectable: Don't be mean or harsh to others, Trolling is allowed (since I'm quite the Troll myself) but don't go overboard with it.
4. Have fun: Don't worry about releasing a finished product, don't worry about the little bugs or glitches that pop up in your game, don't panic if you don't win, and especially don't mind the big scary moon crashing into the earth (DEAR LOARD LINK, SAVE US ALREADY). This is a small event hosted by a guy who has participated in multiple games jams himself. It's a learning experience where you can easily connect with other devs such as yourself. So don't worry about perfection, relax and enjoy the ride!

Q and A
Q: How do I contact you or anyone associated with the jam?
A: You are more than welcome to start a thread on this jam at any time to contact me or any of the other participants, whether it be for further questions or help with a project (doesn't have to be tied to this jam either). You can also find me hanging out on the Post Jam Productions server or my own server called Citizens of Left Wyoming (links down below). I would like to hear from you there and both will welcome you with open arms!
Q: Are there any prizes for winning this?
A: Sadly, no... I would love to give you all a prize for participating though (unless getting a video about your game counts).
Q: What about the last jam you hosted? The "Scare Me Shakeless 2021 jam"? Are you going to do a video for those games as well?
A: Yes, just not now. You see, I ended up offline after the second week in October, so I wasn't able to get to the fantastic games you made for the jam. Sorry, to say what kept me offline for nearly months after that is not because of bad internet or moving. It's an issue with my own dad (please don't ask). But I do plan to cover these games as the first thing to record for this year's "Month of Scares", stay tuned!
Q: What's your relationship status with your dad?
A: Rough, and that's all I'll say...
Q: How old are you?
A: Old.
Q: afghdklgajisdlkgoirewankjlhgfldsahgindsklf?
A: ... ... ... What?
