The game takes place on Planet 3, Star 4325 and features alien environments and lifeforms.
Did you implement any of the optional Bonus Challenges, and if so, which ones?
I implemented challenges 1 and 2, "In Space" and "Aliens". The game takes place on an alien planet and features alien lifeforms as allies and enemies.

Fun game :) I like the alien monsters you have to take care of!
I'm glad you enjoyed it!
The game is well thought as there is another way of completing it if Akle dies :D
Mechanics of the game are quite intuitive, though I was terrified by the tutorial pages at the beginning :)
Sorry about the lengthy instructions, but it's good that the mechanics themselves are fairly intuitive. In the future I'll put the detailed instructions in a sub-menu, as not to intimidate new players. Thank you for the review!
There seems to be quite a bit of scope and depth here. I can tell that a lot of work went into designing the systems for protecting and caring for the pet. The dual "move/teleport" controls are a pretty nifty idea, with some interesting tactical uses.
Unfortunately, I could not quite figure out how to effectively meet the goals of the game. All the text at the beginning of the game is of limited use, because I cannot memorize all of it. The text file included with the download helped, because I was able to refer to it even while the game was running. However, it did not include all the information in the introductory pages of the game. Instead, this information should be communicated gradually, within the game.
There seems to be a solid core here that can really be expanded on with some signposting to help the player get started.
Thank you for your feedback. I definitely agree that the mechanics could have been better introduced. If time constraints allowed, I would have probably created an interactive tutorial, beyond the practice level. Perhaps things like the ball could have been introduced after a few levels.
I'm glad that the level movement landed well. In the future I may add the option to switch the functions between WASD and the arrow keys.
