Welcome to thisGameJam: Winter 2021!

This Jam is a one week long Game Jam held by thisGameDev!  This is a jam where you should have fun, and be experimental!

Here are some guidelines that you should definitely read for the Jam.

The theme will be announced at the start of the jam!

1. Make a game that can be played in 1 - 30 minutes.

2. Keep the game within the theme that is given.

3. You may use assets that you have the right to use.

4. You can reuse basic code (you may not reuse a whole game mechanic, but you can reuse something simple like Player Movement)

5. You can participate solo or in a team.

6. You can submit only 1 game.

7. Have a Windows and Web version of your game to play.

8. You can use any game engine of choice.

9. Create the game within the time frame and you may not submit your game late.

10. Have fun! Be creative and enjoy your time!

1. Who can enter?

• Everyone!  Beginner and Advanced Devs are all welcome!

2. When will the theme be announced?

• The theme will be announced when the Jam starts!

3. What game engine/software will I be able to use?

• You are welcome to use any software!  You don’t have to, but it would be nice if you could tell us what software you used in the description of your game!

4. Can I make a YouTube video about my development?

• YES!  Definitely do this if you can!  If you do end up making a video, please leave it in the description of your game so that we can watch it!  We encourage you to make videos with the tag #thisGameJam.

5. What dimension does my game need to be in?

• You can create either a 2D or 3D Game!  Both will definitely be accepted!

6. When is the rating period?

•  The rating period of the games will be the 7 days after the end of the Jam.

7. When does the Jam start & end?

•  Starts December 17th at 6AM 2021, Ends December 24th at 6AM 2021.
