[Semi-Important- Please Read Through!]

The "Top-Down Jam for Quarantine!" is a 6 day Gamejam for developers of all things top down to show what they can do to the public. Whether you are a solo developer who specializes in Zelda-likes, or a small team who specialize in dungeon crawlers we accept all people to show their amazing skills at scripting and game design. This jam is mostly for fun and rankings do not matter in the long run, as long as you like what you made its a great idea! This jam came to be because of my love of top-down games like LoZ and EtG, and how they affected my personal life in ways I didn't think were possible through games. I hope this jam to pass time during quarantine will be a fun experience and bring some new people into jamming with us!

Games are rated by contributors and people just passing by, so the community can contribute more!

[Submission Rules]

-Please don't submit anything with adult content  (Nudity, excessive vulgar language, excessive gore)

- Everything submitted to this jam has to be in the top-down perspective, but can be in any style (Pixel, hand drawn, 3D models, etc...)

-The rules are simple, so be sure to follow them and have fun!

-All assets and ideas that you own are allowed to be in your game, even ones you made for previous games/ jams!

-You can use whatever you want, whether you use Unity, Godot, or even GDevelop, you are always welcome to participate.

-While currently there isn't a theme, in later jams of this kind I will try to make a theme for what to create

Side note- This is one of my first jams hosted, so I would love if the community helps me out here and points out things I should add.

[How Rating Is Gonna Work]

The games will be scored by other people in the jam with the 5 star rating system. They will be rated on Gameplay, art/visuals etc... But this jam is for fun, so don't get stressed if your game gets a low score. I would highly encourage everyone to look at the other participants games when the rating period has started, to help rate the other people's games fairly.
