On 11 and 12 July, we will host the TRAIN JAM, a game jam over and in trains.

What makes the jam special is that on the whole of July 12th (the final day of the free student week public transport), you need to be inside of a train  while making your game  (preferably a moving one)!

We ask you to work in engine only inside a train, or on a train station while you're moving between trains. Working on a concept can be done outside of train, we can't stop you from thinking.

The jam will start in the afternoon of July 11th, take this time to think about the theme and work on a concept.  (Of course you're also allowed to get on a train on july 11th, do as you please)

We recommend taking July 12th as the day to get on a train and work on a game. You will only have about a day to work on the game, so keep that in mind when working on the concept!

- no AI art.

- You can upgrade to first class for a day in the off-peak hours for €9. Visit a NS service point at a station and you can upgrade. We recommend doing so to comfortably jam inside the trains. first class has outlets as well!
You could buy an upgrade for the entire day, but that would be €25. The off-peak hours are from 9:00-16:00 and from 18:30 till the end of the day. We recommend taking the €9 one and sitting in second class from 16:00 to 18:30.
- If you are travelling back and forth, remember to check out at the end stations, you could get a fine if you forget to do this.
- The wifi in trains isn't very reliable and often slow. If you're working in a team, be sure to travel together and bring some USB drives with you to transfer files.
- If you do plan on using wifi and github, make sure you set up your git on july 11th. You don't want to upload an entire unity project to your git using the wifi in the train.

The theme of the jam will be announced when the jam starts.
