The story packs a lot of intensity, terror, and heart into such a short time frame; it does just enough to resolve the main plot while leaving a few tangential details vague enough for the imagination. The art and aesthetics of the game are vivid and amazing to look at, and the gory visuals of the Bad Ends work well with the text to send chills down my spine. I also liked Aiden and Dan's interactions and overall chemistry, and Aiden's identity as a trans man add extra layers to the plot despite not being the primary focus of it.
The more technical aspects, unfortunately, are where my criticisms lie. The map that was included, while somewhat more useful than the one provided in the walkthrough file, is still confusing, especially in regards to how to access the smaller hallways. I also took issue with the chase scenes: difficulty aside, retrying the scenes so quickly after loading left me unprepared, and the randomized environments in the first one just veered into unfair territory. To say nothing of the game-breaking bugs I would encounter on occasion, especially after a chase scene. The bug I kept coming across when finishing the final chase and accompanied cutscene made me go "I give up!" and look up the ending online.
Reouija Sleepover is a game I would recommend to players who want a fun-sized horror experience with queer leads, but those who are wary of game-breaking glitches and bugs are better off checking Hatoge's other works instead.
I play this game and i don´t know how i get the good ending. I love this game, it was fun with a great story and I love the trans representation with this protagonis. I hope see more games like this (sorry, english it´s not my first lenguaje)
