Nice art! How much of the 3.5hr was spent on that?

Two observations:

  • The lighter colors are a bit too close. It wasn’t really a problem for me, but I’ve a decent eye for color differences, and I know not everyone does. Well either that or I really need to calibrate the screen of this laptop.
  • On the one hand, it would be convenient if you didn’t have to press a key to toggle the diagrams. On the other, maybe it would hurt the mood of the game a bit to have it be conveniently on screen (fumbling around with paper notes helps sell the poor prisoner vibe you’re going for).

Thanks for your observations.

Very little of the time was spent on art, it's all royalty free stuff that's attributed in the description.

Good observation about the colors. I actually want to try to finish this game closer to my original concept once the voting period is over.

It's a shame, I put a lot of stuff into making it so that each and every rune would correspond to exactly one counter rune and started working on a system to have the runes be randomized. But I looked at the clock and it was clear there wouldn't be time to finish that. So I focused on getting the minimum viable product ready. Almost all of the last .5 hours went into getting the runebook ready as the game is sheer guesswork without it.
