Village Witch is a wonderful way to get creative and write every day. The prompts are guiding but not so specific to strangle creativity. This is a game that can be played over and over again with a vivid imagination. The ability to use either a standard deck or tarot deck is brilliant and wonderful. I also thoroughly enjoy the accessibility of this game. I am a screen reader user and the fact there is a plain text version is so wonderful. I'm able to simply read, understand and then play with no barriers.

I'm currently writing through my first playthrough of this game in Docs and using Mastodon to post my journal entries as a way to write something each and every day. I'm using my tarot deck to draw the cards and so far I am absolutely adoring it. This is the perfect cozy little game that is extremely simple. No massive amount of rules to bog you down, just a single die and a deck is all you need. This would be wonderful for taking on the go or just pulling out at lunch for a quick entry. I could even see myself making sound journal recordings. I'm currently writing it as though people are reading them and have invited people to write my witch and perhaps get a letter back.

If you don't want a game to hold your hand but give you enough to keep up a daily writing practice, this is a wonderful game to have in your toolkit. I keep it on my phone to refer to when I want to think about the next bit of writing.

Thank you for such a great little game.

Solid 5! I've played this with three children who love to play make-believe games that essentially are like live action roleplay (because I needed a break from imaginary sword fights!).  They took it very seriously and really thought about their answers. They definitely thought long and hard about the final choice.  So far no one has decided to eat the food at the end but I know that one of them has been on the fence every single time -- The next plan they have is that they want to make up imaginary people and play that way. I'm guessing that they're going to end up becoming fae when they are no longer thinking about leaving their real families to run away to the faerie world! I don't know who is having more fun ... me or them!

This solo ttrpg is so peaceful and calming, and I just adore the tarot-themed prompts. I use the Build-A-Witch expansion literally every time I want to make any kind of magical character, and the sample witches included? It's free real estate! It's free NPCs!

I'd love to see this game formatted as a printable or a zine someday, maybe with some B+W illustrations. You already have a character creation system cooked up, and lots of suggestions for setting, the witch's house, etc. Just by formatting those suggestions into tables you can roll could make the project more accessible, attractive etc. to people who haven't played Village Witch. Because the copy is all text and formatted in paragraphs, it can be a bit challenging to get through. Even formatting the questions in the "setup" section as bullet points instead of a single paragraph would make this easier to read, in my opinion.

That said, love the base game! Thanks for putting this into the universe :)
