What is the 'Tis the Season Game Jam?

The ‘Tis the Season Game Jam  (or TTS Game Jam) is a 1-week game jam held four times a year at the beginning of each season. There will be a seasonal theme announced on the first day of each jam to help spark inspiration amongst teams/creators!

Who can join?

This game jam is open to new and seasoned jammers alike!

Will there be any themes/limitations?

There will be a theme announced on the first day of each jam that is related to the season we are currently in. There are no real limitations, except the game must adhere to the announced theme and be a digital game that can be played on Web, Linus, Windows, or Mac. 

What engine can I use?

You can use any engine you are comfortable working in! 

Can I work in teams?

You can work in teams of up to five (5) people, or you can work alone. Whatever you feel most comfortable doing! 

Can I use premade assets?

While we encourage you to create your own assets from scratch, you are allowed to use premade assets as long as you provide proper credit in the description of the game on itch.io. 

Can it be NSFW (Not Safe for Work)?

NSFW and M-rated games are allowed as long as they adhere to the theme and include a warning at the beginning of the game; however, games with sexual content will not be accepted or considered. 

Ranking Criteria & Information

Because this is the first ever 'Tis the Season Game Jam, we have decided to make this an unranked jam. Although the game jam is unranked, please adhere to the rules so the game is playable by a wide audience and credits the correct creators.
