What’s BL?

BL stands for Boys' Love, a genre that focuses on romantic and emotional relationships between male characters.

Why a Year-Long Jam?

Because good stories take time, and honestly, who likes rushing? 

What’s the Goal?

This jam isn’t about winning—it’s about creating and sharing. There are no prizes or rankings—just a community space for you to showcase your game, connect with fellow developers, and share your love for BL.

Who’s Invited?

EVERYONE.

Whether you’ve made 10+ games or this is your first time dabbling in visual novels, we want you!

The Rules (They're Chill, Don’t Worry):

• Theme: BL, duh. But other than that, you can go wild with genres— fantasy, horror, drama, sci-fi, comedy. It’s up to you!
• Deadline: You’ve got 12 months, from Jan 1, 2025 to Dec 31, 2025. Submitting early? Great! Multiple submissions? Absolutely!
• New Game Only: All submissions must be new. Either demo or full game. No old projects, but feel free to pick up an idea you’ve been sitting on!
• Original or Fan-Made: You can create something entirely original or dive into fan-made content. Just make sure you follow the fanwork rules!
• Game Engine: Use ANY game engine you like! Ren’py, Unity, RPG Maker, Twine—if it can make a visual novel, it’s welcome!
• Cross-Submissions: Got another jam going? Feel free to double-dip. Submit your game to as many jams as you like!
• Assets: Use pre-made stuff or create everything from scratch—whatever floats your boat.
• Platforms: Make sure your game is playable on at least one platform (PC, Android or Web).
• NSFW: Sure thing! Just make sure to slap on the right warnings for anything explicit.
• NO Anti-BL Themes: We’re here to celebrate love, not to tear it down!
