THEME:   Stuffed Animal Protagonist

Art by Sarah Luetz, used with permission.

RULES:

1)  Open to any game dev engines (or lack of engine) for this Jam.

2)  You may not use paid-for assets (whether from the Unity store or otherwise).  Only free assets allowed or things made by the jammers themselves.  This is just to maintain balance for those who need to jam on the cheep.

3)  Please cite the sources of any external assets you use which are not automatically cited on Unity Play / things that come directly from Unity Learn lessons, etc.  Thank your sources!

4)  Your game must be self-contained.  If there are any alternative builds you wish to share, please make it clear which is the primary build being judged for the jam.

5)  You may not simply modify an existing game / tutorial / microgame.  It should not be a re-skin of an existing game with different art assets, for example.

6)  If there are at least 4 ranked student submissions, the highest ranking UM-Flint student participant will also receive the title of Monarch of Games from the current reigning Monarch.

7)  While this is primarily intended for UM-Flint students, we've decided to open this jam up to the public so that our students can see a broader range of work.  Please try to keep things sfw so that this experiment succeeds!

VOTING:

Voting will take place for 1 week after the conclusion of the Jam.  Voting will be open to the public for this jam.  Voting criteria for this jam are:

1)  Use of Theme:  How well the game uses the theme in all elements of the game, from design elements to mechanics.
2)  Game Feel:  Does it "feel good" to perform actions in the game?  Are controls responsive and satisfying?
3)  Environment Design:  Quality of such things as art assets, level design, enemy design, placement and pacing of challenges.  How well constructed are the paths of the game?
4)  Personality / Story / Narrative:  Quality of the characters, dialogue, plot, and other story elements of the game.
5)  "Man, I wish I could make something like this...":   Whether from a technical standpoint or otherwise, do you want to learn more from this Jammer?
