  • What a cutting experience! I was quickly pulled into the dark setting and fascinated by the protagonist's challenge. Simple but effective. This short game does a wonderful job encapsulating how agonizing a single choice can be: how the weight of a life can tip the scale in either direction. Some of the grammar tripped me up on first reading, but the evocative imagry was delightful to discover. As we learn more about the protagonist's situation I could feel the oppressive dark looming over my next decision. After playing through all paths I wish there was more to see as we try to escape the maze, or perhaps more agency on the player's part in the attempt. I appreciate the craft that was employed to present such a terrible world, well done to the developer.
  • This was an eerie, surreal journal with hidden depths. Tone worked well to compliment the structure of the game and lack of choice added a nice claustrophobic element. I played through multiple times because I could sense that there was more here than an initial playthrough could cover. I appreciated the way the narrative slowly unfurls and how that pacing interacts with worldbuilding as well as player engagement. If you choose to further develop this game, consider branching out the narrative more and making player choices have impacts on story outcomes, especially endings.
