I'm not sure what's automated about this, but the game is still kinda neat.
For some reason the movement is jittery only when moving down and to the right, but not any of the other directions.

The plan was to add conveyor belts that allowed the orbs to be brought to the yellow circle automatically, but I ran out of time.
I'll check out that down-right movement bug you're talking about
