University of Lincoln Orientation Week Jam

Welcome to the University of Lincoln Orientation Week Jam! This jam is being hosted by the Computer Science Society on behalf of the School of Computer Science. As this is part of the orientation week we encourage you to team up with some of your peers for this jam (although this is by no means required). A message board is available here on the jam page and you are more than welcome to join the CSS Discord server and meet and team up with your peers there as well.

For anyone who has never seen or participated in a jam, a theme will be announced at the start of the jam. Your team will then develop a game based around the theme over the course of two days. There are also modifiers, modifiers are completely optional and serve as an extra challenge for participants. You do not need to fulfil all or any of the modifiers to win overall, however judges will select a second winner who fulfils some or all of these modifiers in the best way.  The overall winner will be decided by you (and your peers)!

Prizes

The winners of the jam will receive several prizes, including vouchers, cool toys and rubber ducks!

• Self-Made:- Include only assets you or your team members have made.
• Duochrome:- Only use two colours in your game.
• It's What We Do:- Include a computer in your game.
• And Here, We See the Wild Programmer:- Include voice acting in your game. 
• Back in My Day We Didn't Need No Polygons:- Only use text based graphics in your game.

Rules

It should go without saying that any submissions that are discriminatory on the basis of gender, sexual orientation, disability, physical appearance, race, religion, etc. will be removed from the jam and further action may be taken if warranted.
