Welcome to the Useless Villain Jam 2020! 

The Goal of this 72 hour beginner friendly jam is to make a game where the Villain isn't really much of a threat to the protagonist, either because they're not very threatening, or because their end goal is hardly even villainous. You're free to interpret that however you want. Other than that, you're free to make any game you want, 2D or 3D, platformer or shooter. However, make sure to include content warnings where appropriate.

Jam Information

• You will have 72 hours to make a game
• You may work in Teams or alone
• Assets produced before the jam may be used if you have permission to use them, though in the spirit of Game Jam try to create something new in the jam time.
• Your final submission can be any file type, but to get the most ratings I would recommend including a build that runs on Windows (.exe or Web Build)
• The Jam will be community rated based on 5 categories:
  • Overall
  • Villain Uselessness (If that's not a word, I'm now making it a word)
  • Villain Character Development (Because a Villain with a backstory is a good Villain)
  • General Gameplay (Is the game interesting to play?)
  • Art Style (This doesn't need to mean good art, just that the game art looks consistent)
