About
UT Game Jam is UT EGaDS!'s annual fall game jam during which anyone can join and work on a team under the mentorship of an industry professional. The Electronic Game Developer's Society (EGaDS!) is an interdisciplinary student organization open to all UT students with a passion for game development.

Theme
Diversifiers
- Fine Literature - Include 2 poems written by the team that the player can find and read
- Is Something Behind the Waterfall? -- Include a secret reward/passage only accessible by moving behind a waterfall
- Frog - Include a frog in the game
- Is that a JoJo reference?? - Make everything in your game a reference
- Rock, Paper, Scissors - Include a type of weapon triangle
- Can you pet the dog? - Include a pettable dog
- UnSilent Protagonist - include a player character who talks constantly
- Character creator - Allow the player to customize their character’s physical appearance
- Fashionista - Include several equippable outfits for a character
- Super Hexagon - Make a 2D game with a hexagonal tile-map
- In the future… - Include dialogue that is randomly generated
- Check out the enclosed instruction book - Create a physical instruction book for your game (or digital if we’re online)
- It’s a feature! - Make your game crash intentionally (when the player fails, etc.)
- You cheated not only the game, but yourself - Add cheats/modifiers to your game that players can unlock/find codes for (outside the game?)
- Isometric Exercise - Make a 3D game with an isometric camera
- ‘Tis the season - Make your game based off of a holiday
- DeviantArt: Resurrection - Make the main character based off of an old OC by one of your artists
- I never learned how to reeeeead! - Make a narrative-driven game with no (legible) dialogue
- It’s at least a C+! - Give a ranking on how well the player did at the end of your game
- MIDIeval Times - Make your music in the classic windows MIDI soundfont (for this, we recommend downloading musescore 2 for composing, exporting your song as a MIDI, and then recording the playback using audacity/any DAW).
- Don’t say a word - A multiplayer game that requires communication between players, without relying on text or voice.
- Praise the Sun - Implement a roll.
- Sick beats - Have beatboxing in your game
- Art…? - make the majority of your assets in MS Paint
- Chaotic Kinda Good - Make a game where you help people by doing something bad.
