How are there ZERO Valentine's Day Game-Jam's this year?! That is simply unacceptable, so I'm rolling up my sleeves and hosting one myself! <3

With that aside, welcome to "Valentine's Day Jam"! A 1.5 Month Jam, dedicated to collaboration, unrequited crushes, romance and even smut if you so choose...anything to quell your Valentine's (gaming) passions!

In 2024, after years of isolation, plague and unrest, let's bring some LOVE and mushy feelings back into our lives. 

This jam encourages creation of all genres of games and not just visual novels.

THEMES/IDEAS

- There are no "themes" required aside from your game being at least vaguely Valentine's themed. And/or contain themes/aspects of love, romance, relationships, breakups, "Palentines", dating, heartbreak etc.

- Perhaps love-love isn't your thing. Focus on a "Palentine's Day" story/theme!

- Valentine's doesn't have to be solely the warm and fuzzy's. Perhaps you'd like to do an "Anti-Valentines" Day game/story...or even a genre mash-up, like a Valentine's Day Horror.

- Is your game a straight-up Dating Sim, or a ponderous kinetic Visual Novel about love and loss on VDay, or even a Match 3 Puzzle Game with Cupid firing arrows at heart-shaped bubbles? It's all fair game.

RULES

1. There are ZERO hard rules. Aside from the fact that your submission at least be vaguely Valentine's themed. And/or contain themes/aspects of love, romance, relationships, breakups, "Palentines", dating, heartbreak etc. 

2. This jam focuses on LOVE of all kinds and expressions! Depictions of Valentine's/Romance between adults of all orientations and pairings are of course welcome!

3. Your game may have NSFW, sexual, graphic or mature content...but please flag/tag them as such. This is very important.

4. You may use pre-made, royalty-free or bought assets...but please note them in the credits, and give credit.

5. Submission of the same game to other jams is allowed.

6. Demos/WIP's with a clear "ending" or end, are kosher. Please don't submit unfinished or bare-boned games.

6. Jam hosts reserve the right to remove any submission for any reason, although we'll aim to reach out to creators first, posting a comment on the jam submission page or on the primary game page. Removal will primarily occur for games that do not prominently feature the essence of Valentine's Day or "Matters of The Heart".
