good evening. i host the variety megajam at the end of the year because, years ago, i had this feeling that i had not done "enough" that year. now it has become something more of a transition - a tradition that marks the changing of the big number! it is a momentous occasion that can perhaps be made more momentous by this celebration of videogame creation.
whoever you are, i invite you to make ten small games in ten small genres, interpreted however you like.
p.s. one of my friends has taken an oath of game dev abstinence for the remainder of 2022 and nobody likes to miss out on a nice tradition or break an oath! therefore, if (and only if) you have undertaken, or choose to undertake, such an oath, you may take advantage of the extra 10 days in january. otherwise get your games done before the end of the year! get all those ideas out of you! get 'em out!
