Wonderjam is a 10-day game jam. Use these 10 days to make the game you want from start to finish, or experiment with new ideas.

CONCEPT

Wonderjam has a required theme and two optional modifiers.

Your game has to follow the theme. This will be rated.

The two modifiers are optional. You can use one or both of them as an added challenge, or to give yourself a headstart on ideas.

Both the theme and the modifiers are open to interpretation. During submission you will be able to elaborate on how you implemented them. Just in case your interpretation is so clever that no one gets it!

The theme is: UNLIKELY ALLIES

This theme must be followed. You can interpret it different ways however it must be apparent that your game followed the theme.

MODIFIERS

There are 2 optional modifiers (will be revealed when jam starts):

1. REVERSE MECHANIC

2. PERMADEATH

These are optional challenges you can try adding to your game.

HOW TO ENTER

Hit "Join Jam" at the top, and wait for the jam to start.

Once the jam has started, make your game!

Submit it before the jam ends.

RULES

There are some rules you have to follow, to ensure your game is enjoyed by others:

• You are required to follow the jam theme.
• You are not required to use the modifiers, which are optional.
• Game assets, unless freely available to anybody, must be created during the jam.
• You can use code made before the jam, but it must not be something substantial (like a pre-built game demo). Using scripts & snippets is fine.
• NSFW content is prohibited (no nudity, or anything that could be rated 18+).
• Have fun!

FAQ

• When do I start making the game? When the jam starts, and the limitation & themes are revealed.
• Can I work in a team? Yes. As many people as you like.
• Can I submit more than one game? You can try,
• Can I use someone else's assets? Only if they're made for you during the jam by a teammate, or are freely available for everyone.
• What if I miss the deadline? You can still submit late entries, but you have to contact us on Discord, with a link to your game page.
• I'm in a team, can my team rate other games as well? Yes. Just make sure they're listed as Contributors on your game.
