Meet the Horror Game Kit (HGK)! The Horror Game Kit is YAHAHA's newest no-code tool, tailor-made for horror game creators aiming to bring their chilling visions to life. It comprises two main components: horror game templates and demo horror games. The six features offered by the HGK enhance your ability to create horror games in YAHAHA Studio:

How to participate?
Step 1: Publish and package your game for export in YAHAHA.
Step 2: Upload your game package to itch.io.
Step 3: Decorate your game page on itch.io to be eligible for the prize pool. You need to include a game cover image, a detailed description (covering game content and key instructions), screenshots, and a gameplay or trailer video.
Total amount: $300
-Best Decoration Prize - $50 (It is awarded for the best game page decoration selected by the YAHAHA team)
-Shared Prize Pool - $250
Please note:
1. Once you meet the entry requirements, you can join and earn a share of the prize pool.
2. You shall submit a valid submission to claim your share of the prize pool.
3. For example, if you win the Best Story Award and qualify for the prize pool, you can receive the total winnings =$200+ $250/qualified prize pool participants.

Q: Who can join?
A: Anyone from anywhere is welcome to join as it is an online game jam. You can work solo or in teams (with no limit on team size). You may also join multiple teams.
Q: When does the jam begin and end?
A: It runs from 12:00 (GMT+8) on March 15th to 11:59 (GMT+8) on March 29th. You can submit your entries anytime within this period, but early submission is recommended.
Q: Are there any restrictions on the game type?
A: There is no limitation on the game type as long as it fits the horror-themed. However, your entries must be developed using the YAHAHA Horror Game Kit.
Q: Which platform should be used for game development?
A: Games must be developed exclusively in YAHAHA Studios using the Horror Game Kit.
Q: When should I submit the game?
A: Feel free to submit your game at any point during the jam. However, for a smoother submission process, we recommend submitting 5-6 hours before the deadline to avoid high traffic. Remember, you can always update your game until the deadline.
Q: Who owns the intellectual property (IP) to the games developed in the game jam?
A: Any game you develop during the Game Jam is your property. Yahaha Studios claims no ownership. However, we reserve the right to revoke games that cause negative impacts or pose legal issues. By participating, you allow us to showcase your game on various media platforms.
Q: If my game doesn’t meet the qualification criteria, am I still eligible for prize money from the prize pool?
A: Unfortunately, no. To be eligible for prize money, your submission must score above 60.
