Why Should (You) Join?

Ever released a 50 hour long RPG epic? Me neither! This game jam removes the lofty ambitions often associated with making an RPG. In this jam, you will only have until THE END OF JULY 3RD 2021 to make an RPG, so thinking small and simple is highly encouraged, and even necessary. 

What do (You) get for joining?

The satisfaction of creating and releasing a completed game, which will then be played by at LEAST one person (me) but very likely others, too! Just look at all the cool entries from the previous jams:

Rules

Use of ANY version of RPG Maker is PREFERRED. Use of other tools including but not limited to Game Maker, Wolf RPG Editor, and others is also permitted.

Theme and Guidelines

The main goal is to submit a completed game by THE END OF JULY 3RD 2021.  By popular demand, this summer's jam theme is "Isekai." Per Wikipedia:

Isekai (Japanese: 異世界, transl. "different world" or "otherworld") is a Japanese genre of light novels, manga, anime and video games that revolve around a person who is transported to and has to survive in another world, such as a fantasy world, virtual world or parallel universe. 

However, what that ultimately means is up to (You)! Because the total time for this project is fairly short, here are some recommendations (which are largely unchanged from previous jams):

• Theme: Isekai (Another World)
• Map: 1 Town, 2 Dungeons
• Battle: 2 bosses, 6 common enemies
• Party: 2-4 player characters
• Assets: all assets are okay.
• Plugins: Use as needed, but try not to go overboard.

The above are merely guidelines and not strict rules. Feel free to disregard these if (You) think that (You)'re work will be better for it, but try not to spend too much time browsing resources and plugins!

Remember to take it easy, enjoy the process, and jam away!
