This game is beautiful! The hints and the puzzles are really clever, there are great messages behind each one of them. Congratulations, I hope you keep this project alive.
Namaste, it was a pleasure to play a game like this... I'm really impressed with the graphics, story, puzzles and everything... I'm not sure if the game was created for this JAM or if it was an already existing game, but it fits a lot with the JAM purpose (Retro Game and Enchanted Forest themes).
The "Noble" Eightfold Path is a set of Buddhist practices to calm-down mind, body and soul... exactly the way that your game bring me peace.
The only thing that missed for me was a small manual indicating how to play the game, maybe an "spiritual guide".
Once again, congratulations for your game and have success in your journey.
We actually did it for the jam :) We liked the theme and the zen jam concept so much that we wanted to make a game with it all. There's still a bunch of stuff that we wanted to add but didn't have the time, we hope to update The Eightfold Path soon ;)
