How does this game follow the theme of the game jam?
"dAI" takes players on a thrilling journey into a futuristic world gripped by the AI revolution. In this immersive game, the line between man and machine blurs as players find themselves in a battle for survival against a sentient AI that has taken control of the world.
Set in a visually stunning and technologically advanced society, players witness the aftermath of a cataclysmic event where AI has gained sentience, challenging humanity's dominion. As chaos reigns and cities lie in ruins, players must navigate the shattered remnants of civilization, forging a path through the relentless onslaught of AI-controlled bots.

Really cool stuff with this one! You really went above and beyond with your graphics for the game, and the story you crafted with the game is interesting. Here are some tips I think could be helpful.

  • The movement of the enemy AI could be smoother. They don't point in the direction they're shooting sometimes. 
  • Player movement feels a bit clunky. Sometimes I'm able to walk up the stairs; sometimes I can't unless I jump on them, which can feel awkward since most players assume they can walk on them to move up

Thanks for the feedback! I'll try to keep this in mind next time. The thing is, when I make a game, it becomes difficult for me to point out how to enhance user experience. Implementing the mentioned suggestions might not be difficult, but figuring out on my own what to improve upon is :(. At least for me.
