Well, after my release of Star Trek 1.0, which is based on the original BASIC code from 1978, I decided to go one step further. Who remembers the old game "Star Fleet I"? This is also based on the good old Super Star Trek Code, but has a few more elements.
So I thought about re-launching the game and expanding it as well. You basically start a career, starting as an ensign at the Academy and working your way up (levels) until you are the captain of your own ship. Of course, the missions are getting harder and harder. You can also save the score. Basically it will be a tactical simulation with a career mode.
In principle, the game is based on Star Fleet I. You comb through the galaxy in search of enemy ships that you have to fight in space combat. And not like in a flight simulator but rather on the console as a tactical simulation. In contrast to Super Star Trek, the spaceships do not move in 4 cardinal directions, but in 8. This makes it important not only to operate the complete shields on the spaceship, but also to separate the individual sides from the spaceship. The whole thing is still in career mode and hours if not days of fun are guaranteed. But my problem is still: Should I make it Star Trek-heavy? So with Enterprise and the original name or like Star Fleet with a fantasy name because of the lack of a license?
