After wanting to get back into games all summer, I finally have a pocket of time to work on them. I’m actually rather excited about the project I chose for the jam, hosted by chimeriquement.
While it is a fairytale, if you’re expecting it to mimic traditional fairytales–or even “look” like one, you might be disappointed 😅
I currently can’t say more than that, & it’s still in the pre-production phase. However, I will be writing devlogs as I go, so if you’re interested in seeing “behind the scenes” on how I develop games personally or just in general, I’d appreciate you taking the time to read them.
What I can say about this project is that it’s made to be imperfect. While it is a game, it is first & foremost a learning opportunity–for me to grow & develop various skills. It won’t have the same level of “polish” you may be used to seeing, but honestly, I prefer that.
My first game back into dev work shouldn’t be anything that’ll add stress or lead to burnout. I want to learn & have fun, and hopefully you’ll have fun playing it.
