13 Laurel Road is an interactive fiction game about the relationships we have with places and reconciling with trauma. You play as a young man named Noah who has been tasked with picking up some things from his cousin’s old house. You haven’t been there since it happened. As you explore the house, you remember the things that led you here- the things you’d rather not think about.

Warning: This game includes mentions of transphobia, abuse, murder, and self harm.

This was agonizing to read. These kinds of experiences are horrible, and painful, and while I can't relate to the protagonist's guilty conscience from his direction I have experienced a lot of this from Quinn's perspective.

I'm not the kind of blogger who talks about personal experiences. For me it was an uncle I barely knew and had only even met once or twice, with grown children I'd definitely never met.

Anyway, the content warnings are very serious, so proceed carefully.
