3D platformers challenge players to navigate intricate levels by running, jumping, climbing, and sometimes combat, often with an emphasis on creative movement abilities and collectibles. Camera perspective is typically third-person to provide a clear view of the character's position in the environment. Objectives may include reaching the end of each stage, defeating bosses, gathering items, or unlocking secrets through thorough exploration and deft platforming skills.
