Is it allowed to reuse code I created for another game?

Hi,

I'm a beginner game-dev making especially little games for pico-8 and chip-8.  I'm building a game with pico-8 that has a decent amount of generic code that would help me kickstart the game much faster (I also have a full time job and a family so my time is really constrained). I would like to be able to reuse that code to create a completely new game, but I want to be sure that fits the spirit of this jam.

Thanks in advance!

I believe if it's just a conceptual level, like a character controller, its fine. I think the jam rules just state, do not blatantly copy paste / reuse assets / code with the intention of posting an already finished product, as the jam offers asset packs for purchase to use with the jam. I think its more so to retain artistic integrity than to gatekeep those with real lives.

Clear, thanks. I'm glad to hear this.

Posso participar?
